Nights Away Team
Meet the teams and roles that support this area of district Scouting.
The District Nights Away Team is responsible for all of the Nights Away Permits in the District. The team is made up of assessors who have extensive nights away experience and exemplify the best way to do things.
The Nights Away Team are responsible for:
- Setting the standard for assessments – what is required to pass an assessment. This is heavily tied to Scouting Policy Organisation & Rules, but the nuance is local.
- Working with the DLV to establish the criteria for nights away approvals.
- Some members (the ones that the membership system can be convinced to allow) will assist the DLV and District Activities Lead in approving Night Away Notification forms.
- The team will set & publish the local standard for minimum requirements on Nights Away Notifications
- What is required on a risk assessment?
- What is the minimum number of adults?
