Staff from North Hertfordshire Homes have come together to cut back bushes, build steps and create a raised patio to provide an outdoor area for Scout Groups and other youth groups at the District HQ.
Gavin Cansfield, Chief Executive at North Hertfordshire Homes said “Giving back to the community is part of our social purpose, and colleagues volunteered for this project because of the great work the Scout Movement does for others”.
Bikerdikes Garden Centre, Oakray Limited, RJB Building and T & S White Decorating donated plants and funds towards the scheme.
The Scouts are very appreciative of the work undertaken by the volunteers and all sections of Scouting will now be able to benefit from the outside space created by the project.
